Avg. AI Usage
How many days per week are employees using AI tools on average, and what does that frequency tell us about adoption?
What it shows
Average AI Usage measures how many days per week, on average, employees are actively using AI tools, the frequency metric that sits between binary adoption (ever used) and daily active use. A score of 1.4 days per week means the average employee uses AI tools on roughly one or two days of their working week. A score of 4.2 days per week means AI tool use is near-daily across the measured population.
Why it matters
Days per week is the metric that converts the adoption question from binary to behavioral. An organization with 74% adoption and 1.4 average days per week has a very different AI program than one with 68% adoption and 4.1 average days per week, the second is more deeply integrated despite lower headline adoption. For CHROs designing training programs and CIOs planning enablement investments, average days per week is the frequency baseline that determines whether interventions should target new user activation or deepening engagement among existing users.
The Larridin angle
Average AI Usage days per week is the most interpretable adoption depth metric for non-technical leadership. A CFO or CHRO who struggles to contextualize DAU counts or event volumes immediately understands "our employees use AI 2.3 days per week on average", and immediately understands that the target is "5 days per week." Larridin surfaces this metric alongside the AI Productivity Score, Survey Score, and trend chart in the same tab, giving the executive dashboard the plain-language adoption context the technical metrics require.
