Larridin CTO and Co-Founder Ameya Kanitkar, a member of the Forbes Technology Council, shared a guide to value maxxing enterprise AI.
Token maxxing is the pursuit of token spend as a signifier of AI adoption and impact. Kanitkar recommends value maxxing instead: Finding the most cost-effective combination of models, infrastructure and human expertise that can reliably produce the business outcomes a leader needs.
He points out that growth in AI spending means the cost needs to be justified at the board level. So the new goal is to build a portfolio of approaches that matches capability and cost to the value of the work.
Kanitkar goes on to recommend:
-
Matching AI models to the value of the work
-
Measuring cost per outcome, not cost per AI token
-
Using open source as an economic lever
-
Keeping infrastructure flexible
-
Teaching AI proficiency to all employees
...and more. Kanitkar calls this AI value maxxing and suggests that it will result in competitive advantage at the enterprise level.
