How do I track OpenAI API costs by team?

OpenAI’s Costs API groups by project, key, user, and model, and only when asked. Larridin maps those projects and keys to teams, departments, and use cases from your org chart, without renaming a single key.

Why doesn’t the usage dashboard match our invoice?

The dashboard is delayed, reported in UTC, and exports cap at 60 days; since April 2026, Enterprise invoices no longer itemize API costs. Larridin keeps a daily ledger from the usage APIs, so finance isn’t working from a 60-day export window.

How much does Codex cost per developer?

Natively there is no one number: Codex burns plan credits in the admin console and API tokens on the platform. Larridin joins both into cost per developer and cost per PR.

Do ChatGPT credits cover Codex, or is that billed separately?

Both. Plan seats include Codex credit allowances, and API-key usage bills separately at token rates. That split is exactly why the two need one ledger.

Does it cover Azure OpenAI?

Yes. OpenAI usage billed through your Azure subscription is attributed the same way as platform spend, so the OpenAI number is whole whichever contract it rides on.

How do we prove ROI on OpenAI spend?
